The daily grind of Motherhood
Mum body image. It is a thing. I have chatted to other Mum’s and it is a common theme but not many people talk about it openly. It is accepting your body and how it changes and looks after babies. I personally have struggled in the past and still occasionally struggle with my Mum body image – which I will talk about my own struggles in this blog. After having children one of the most difficult adjustments can be in accepting your post-baby body. If you are struggling with your mum body image, check out our tips on a little bit of self-acceptance.Continue Reading →
Teaching photography to your kids is a fun exercise. You get to spend time with them and bond. You are encouraging them to be interested in a new hobby which they will enjoy. In today’s world where kids are constantly at home on the computer, iPad or mobile phone playing games; it is very important to teach them a hobby that will get them out of the house into nature and allow them to explore their surroundings.
Fannie Bay Super Pizza is an amazing kid friendly restaurant. As a Mum to four young kids I know taking kids out to dine at a restaurant can be challenging and tricky most of the time. Will the kids like the food, will the kids be too noisy or messy, will it be too busy, is the place family friendly? What do they have to keep my kids entertained or will I have to put an Ipad or my phone in front of them to keep them busy. Fannie Bay Super pizza ticks all the boxes for a family friendly restaurant and it is fast becoming a favourite place for my family to go to.

Mumma….How are you? Yesterday was R U OK day? But this should be every day. How are you? Three little words that we use every day but when we say them do we really listen to the answer? Do we really say how we are? Or do we say “good thanks”, “I’m fine” or something just the same?

I was food shopping the other day with my 7 year old. I really don’t like food shopping with the kids as they always seem to pick up 101 things and want them and insist they need them. But from this shopping trip actually sprung an idea of something we could do together and also make for snacks. We went down the jelly aisle and she picked up the jelly cups that were pre made and she was really wanting them. With four kids and the tiny jelly cups – it was going to be an “expensive” treat. I then saw the tin fruit and then the idea of jelly fruit cups came to mind. Read on for how we made them and also what literacy and numeracy skills came through with this activity.
