There is heaps of Easter activities for families in Darwin this year! The Easter long weekend is fast approaching! Easter egg hunts and activities are happening all around town! Good Friday is on 2nd of April to Easter Monday April 5th. Easter is the perfect time of year to enjoy some family time and get out and about to many of the activities happening about town. Darwin Family Life has rounded up some of the fantastic free (or very affordable) activities to do with your family this Easter.

The EGG-stravagant fun at Gateway NT

They have 100 tickets to give away for an EXCLUSIVE day of FUN at Adventure Land on Easter Saturday 3 April. Celebrate Easter in Darwin City – Saturday 27th March

Head into Darwin city on Saturday 27th March from 9am to 1pm and celebrate Easter with the Lord Mayor’s Easter Egg Hunt. There will also be entertainment from Tip Top Circus including Easter bonnets and crafts, circus activities, bubbles and loads of fun for hours.
Le Crepes will have their delicious crepes in Smith Street Mall with a special Easter bunny crepe on offer. A live broadcast by TerritoryFM will be at the Activate Darwin Hub alongside the Creating a Cooler Darwin Open Day.
Enjoy the cuddly cute animals with Darwin Pony Rides and Petting Zoo will have bunnies, baby chicks and ducks.

Nature Play – Easter Fun – Thursday 1st April

Bush to Beach Nature based programs is hosting an Easter fun session this Thursday from 9.30am.  Join in the free fun with your young explorers aged 2-5 years!  The session includes 1 hour of nature inspired play & crafts at Fred’s Pass Reserve, Lakeview Hall, NT (undercover space next to the playground).

The kids will have fun exploring and creating a range of play-based activities! Their very popular sand/mud kitchen will be set up for some chocolate baking imaginative play. They will be creating Easter egg crafts, decorating calico bags, keeping cool with water play and so much more!
If the weather permits we will be exploring nearby bushland to go on a rock Easter egg hunt adventure. BOOKINGS ESSENTIAL!! Please email – bushtobeachnature@gmail.com. Limited spots available. Territory Wildlife Park – Easter Markets – Friday 2nd April

From 9am to 1pm on Good Friday, head to the Territory Wildlife Park (960 Cox Peninsula Rd, Berry Springs) to enjoy the Easter Markets! There will be a variety of stalls to enjoy. 

The BIG HUNT at the Village Free family fun day – Saturday 3rd April

Join in for their annual Easter Family Fun Day – FREE kids activities including Easter egg hunt, face painting, colouring competition, local market stalls and more! PLUS your chance to WIN a Willow Extreme Cooler filled with kilos of Cadbury Chocolates…All the fun kicks off from 10am at the Village Central Markets and Playground at Jape Homemaker village on Bagot road. Hoppy Easter Family Day – Saturday 3rd April

Join in on all the fun at Goyder Square this Easter with activities for the whole family on Saturday 3 April from 9.30am till midday. There will be loads of free family activities including cuddly animal display, face painting, disco, balloon twisting, circus fun, photo booth and much more! Plus the Easter bunny will be making a special appearance. Food and drinks will be available to purchase.

Easter Egg Hunt at Casuarina Square – Saturday 3rd April

Head to Casuarina from 10am to 1pm to join in the massive Easter egg hunt! Grab a map and discover Easter treats hidden around Casuarina Square, Plus, lookout for the Easter Bunny along the way! Enter the best-dressed competition for your chance to win prizes and enjoy a complimentary screening of Peter Rabbit 2 at BCC Cinemas! Be A-MAZED whilst finding your way through our Easter Maze and jump on board for a free ride on the Casuarina Egg-Spress!

Easter at the Precinct – Saturday 3rd April

From 2pm join in the Easter Kids Day at the Precinct at the Darwin Waterfront. Tip Top Circus will be entertaining all the kids with a Easter Craft station, bubbles, circus, Easter balloons plus there will be live music and DJ.

Celebrate Easter at the Waterfront – Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th April

From 10am to 1pm on both Saturday and Sunday you can head to the Darwin Waterfront to enjoy all their Easter celebrations! Join in their Easter Scavenger Hunt, you have a chance to WIN a Darwin Waterfront Family Membership. Explore the new Easter garden maze on the Peninsular Lawns, balloon art, face painting, garden workshops, inflatable zone of obstacle courses and explore the brand new Bunny burrow plus much more!

Superhero Easter Egg Hunt with Zion Church – Sunday 4th April

There will be loads of fun with the Superhero Easter Egg hunt, jumping castle and BBQ from 11.30am to 1pm on Sunday. Register for your spot in the Hunt here 

C3 Big Egg Hunt 2021 – Sunday 4th April

The much anticipated C3 Big Egg hunt is back on! All kids are invited to join all the fun that will be happening as part of their C3 Kids Programs on Easter Sunday. There will be hundreds of coloured tokens to find to exchange for eggs. Kids will be in 3 age groups but there will be treats and certificates for all kids and even ‘Bolt’ the C3 Kids mascot dog will be there. There will be two time slots available to check in at either 9am or 11am. These coincide with their service times and parents are most welcome to join for these in their air-conditioned auditorium. Kids will be supervised by our C3 Kids Team, all with current Ochre Cards.) ALL FREE! ALL WELCOME!

Easter Breakfast by the Poolside – Sunday 4th April

Hop into Cossies (located at 1 Sir Norman Brearley Drive) Poolside for their EGG-CITING Easter buffet breakfast!  On the day join in the guess how many eggs in the bunnies basket competition and the Easter costume competition. Breakfast is $32 for an Adult and $17 per child under 12. Bookings are essential 08 8920 3333 and don’t forget to take along your swimmers!
