Francesca Fuga Photography – Capturing Love in Darwin

Hi, I am Francesca. Local Darwin Mum of 2 little ones and the owner of Francesca Fuga Photography. My first camera was a present for my 8th birthday and since then I have seen the world through a lens.

Then, like today, it was all about capturing memories and making moments last forever.

I never thought about it as a career until I started travelling in my early 20s. The close encounters with wildlife, natural disasters and different cultures has made my passion stronger and my pictures more engaging; it has given me the will to pull up my sleeves and learn what it takes to make photography my profession.

Four amazing years working in the UK’s leading Family Photography Studio “Venture”, gave me the tools and the experience to call myself a professional photographer and allowed me to photograph my favourite subject: people! In March 2015 I won the Venture Photography Gold Award “Our faithful friends” in the Families with Pets Category. Since then many of my images have won international family photography awards.

In 2016 I moved to Australia with the love of my life and adventure buddy, Phil. To our beloved Darwin where we had spent many months during our travel years. Here I made my dream come true, my own family photography business. Since then I have become a mamma; little Leo and baby Giorgia joined our world and my love for capturing every single moment has grown even stronger.

What a photoshoot with me is all about:

To me family photography is about capturing and celebrating Love. It’s not about what people look like, it’s about relationships, personalities and how you interact together as a family. It’s about capturing the loving way you look at your children. About stopping time, as you laugh together while having fun. Time flies, children grow up quickly, we are all forever changing, but photography allows us to keep moments forever. I believe that family photographs should cover our walls, a constant reminder of the love that surrounds us and of how lucky we are.

Over the years my images have become more cinematic, my focus is on capturing authentic emotion and connection with our amazing Top End outdoors as a backdrop. The experience during the photoshoot is just as important as the final gallery of images you receive. My aim is to make your photoshoot a fun, relaxed, and unforgettable family experience, to show you natural images that will blow you away and create a piece of art for your home that you will cherish forever.

I also offer storytelling photoshoots in the comfort of your home, especially great for newborns.
