At Early Start Australia (formerly OT for Kids NT), we believe every child and family is unique and every child is amazing, full of potential and doing the very best they can. Our team of occupational therapists, speech pathologists and other specialists can help give your child the helping hand they need to grow to their potential and live an amazing, successful and fulfilling life.

We provide support, information and services that are best suited to your child, your family and your goals. Our experienced team of therapists will work with you as a team to identify your child’s needs and help them develop and thrive.
We can help your child develop:
· Speech and language
· Play and social skills
· Independence (toileting, dressing, mealtimes)
· Fine motor skills (drawing, writing, tying shoe-laces)
· Gross motor skills (running, jumping, hopping)
· Self-regulation and organisation (including sensory processing)
· School readiness and early learning skills
· Assistive and Augmentative Communication (AAC)
· Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) for young children with Autism
At Early Start Australia, we support children aged 0 to 16. We understand the importance of working flexibly with your family and provide services across Darwin, Palmerston and rural areas, along with remote locations including Nhulubuy and East Arnhem Land. Services are being expanded to include Katherine, Alice Springs, Tennant Creek and Jabiru. Children can be seen at our clinic in Durack or in the home, school or community setting, and therapists are also available for online consultations.
We are registered providers for the Helping Children with Autism (HWCA) and Better Start Initiate (BSI) funding packages, along with the NDIS. We are also registered with Medicare and many private health funds will provide a rebate for services (please check with your individual provider).
