In 1948 the NT Hockey Association was first formed, however Hockey has been played since the 1940’s. Darwin has a strong hockey community with 11 clubs currently registered with the Association. There is social hockey, indoor hockey and the Darwin League competition. The Commerce Pints Hockey Club is one of the clubs playing in the league for numerous years with a strong family focus with Junior and Senior competitions.

The Commerce pints Hockey Club is a club for fun, fitness and family located in Darwin, Northern Territory. The club is proud to be a founding member of the Darwin Hockey Association. The club has both Junior and Senior competitions.

Sign on Day 2018! Let’s Get Troppo!
On Saturday 17th of March, Commerce Pints is holding their Sign on Day and welcome to 2018! Everyone is welcome to come down to the Pints Club 164 Abala Road Marrara. Juniors from 4pm to 6pm and Seniors till 10pm. Come down and meet the other hockey families and get into hockey this year!

Benefits of playing hockey
Through playing hockey children will learn coordination, balance, endurance, agility and much more. Hockey is a high intensity sport that improves core muscles and has cardiovascular benefits. It is also a great team sport and social skills develop.
Training Days and hockey gear
To play hockey you will need your own hockey stick, shin guards, club socks, mouth guard, plain black shorts or skorts and a Commerce Pints hockey club shirt. Mouth guards and shin guards are compulsory for ALL junior players in the club. AMART sports gives 5% off purchase price for club members to purchase equipment.
For both Juniors and Seniors the club train on Thursdays this year at the Pints Club in Marrara.
The Junior Hockey division is broken up into:
Under 11 Girls & Boys
7 aside on half field and play 20 minute halves.
Under 14 Girls & Boys
11 on the full field and play 25 minute halves.
Under 17 Girls & Boys
11 on the full field and play 35 minute halves.
Round 1 of Hockey games starts on 7th of April 2018 – games are held on Fridays for Under 17’s, Saturdays for Under 8’s, Under 11’s and Under 14’s. Mens and Womens Hockey games are on both Saturdays and Sundays
