Darwin July School holidays 2019 break is fast approaching! We will have three weeks break for Darwin public schools. Starting Saturday 29th of June (Private and Independent school holidays may be slightly different – please check with your school). Students will return to school on Tuesday 23rd of July for start of Term 3.

Kid’s Night Out – Casuarina Square Saturday 29th June
Enjoy kid’s entertainment and family meal deals on the last Saturday of the month! From 6.00pm on Saturday in the Quarter get involved with Territory Proud Territory Flag Making, Territory Animal Encounter and Music & Circus Play plus grab some of the awesome meal deals.
Sanderson Family Fun Day – Sunday 30th June
The Sanderson Family fun day hosted by Kate Worden MLA is on again! From 3pm to 6pm at Anula Park off Yanyula Drive Anula. There will be loads of entertainment from Jumping castles, the Burning Circus, Roy & Isaac’s ice cups, dunking machine, live music from the Fernades Sisters, petting zoo, bubble soccer and much, much more! Family fun for everyone.

Casuarina Square – Kidchella and Activations!
Casuarina Square will be hosting a jam packed 3 weeks of school holiday fun including Kids fitness classes, Giant games, Kidchella Photowall, Sand pits, jumping castles, live musicians, face painting, Caschella Dream Catcher Crafts, Silent Disco, Festival Face Glitters, Mozzie Comedy Circus Show, dance sessions plus so much more! Events and activations will be held in The Quarter. They also have the water play and kids playground to keep the kids busy.

Crocosaurus Cove – Junior Reptile program
Exclusively offered during the NT School Holidays, the Junior Reptile Ranger Program is perfect for the animal lover in your household. This one-of-a-kind tour allows kids to see behind the scenes of our park and help our experienced handlers feed and care for our reptiles! This program costs $60 per child. Accompanying adults can gain entry to the attraction for the discounted rate of $20.
This fully guided 2 hour tour includes: behind the scenes access to the park with our reptile handlers, special Reptile Ranger educational talks and exclusive opportunity to hold and feed juvenile crocodiles and other reptiles.
The Junior reptile program will be run every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday during the NT School Holidays from 3-5pm. For more details and to get your tickets check out their Facebook event here.
Darwin Waterfront Darwin July School holidays 2019
The Darwin Waterfront are hosting three fabulous free family fun days planned these July school holidays from 9 am till noon!
Bounce and Play Fun Day – Wednesday 3 July – 9 am to 12 noon
Activities include: giant bubble fun, twister water fun, giant inflatable obstacle course
jumping castle, giant slip n slide
Sports Play Fun Day – Wednesday 10 July – 9 am to 12 noon
Activities include: AFL Aus Kick, flag races, tug of war, egg & spoon races, inflatable hockey field, rugby with NRL NT, come ‘n’ try soccer and mini games with YMCA
Craft and Play Fun Day – Wednesday 17 July – 9 am to 12 noon
Playdough messy fun, slime workshop, LEGO brick build and play, Sand art, Craft and grow grass heads
All activities are free and no bookings are required.
Gardens Tennis/Top End Multi Sports – Holiday program
Our friends at Gardens Tennis have joined forces with Top End Multi Sports – TEMS and have bookings now open for their July School holiday program!
For ages 5+ Daily program, weekly or half days available
$50 per day – $180 per week
Sports Program consists of: Soccer/Football, Tennis and Volleyball
From 8 am till after 4pm – Monday to Thursdays. The holiday program will be held at Top End Multi Sports Centre at 110 Old McMillans Rd Coconut Grove.

EzPz Crafts – Darwin July School holidays 2019 program
A great new place for kids! At EZ PZ Craft they are here to get your creative inner self, expressed into your project. They offer a wide range of activities for kids and adults. These school holidays the will have the following available:
General craft – suitable for ages 3+ years, the $15 fee covers 2 activities. Every class we will have between 4-6 activities to choose from per session. Rock painting, mandala art, canvas fun, batik painting, clay making, resin jewellery making, painting, sand art and much more. Additional activities can be purchased for $5 each. This class is not a drop of session unless 4 or more activities have been purchased. Under 5 years must have adult or guardian supervision.
3-hour mosaic class – suitable for ages 5+ years. Enjoy creating an amazing mosaic cut out with over 10 designs to choose from. Students will learn how to prep their boards, cut tiles, mosaic and grout your project to take home the same day. Light snack provided
3 hour sewing class – suitable for ages 6+ years learn to thread a needle, tying knots, running stich and over stich. Felt shapes available to practice on. Learning basic skills on a sewing machine. Choose between a bag or cushion to make.
Wood work – suitable for ages 5+ years, build and paint a bird box or serving tray.
Sewing – suitable for 5+ years, simple sewing, make a tote bag.

The Planet
The Planet located at 69 Progress Drive Nightcliff have some great School holiday specials on to keep the kids busy and entertained! You can get 2 games of bowling for $13 per person (normally $20!!) OR one of bowling for just $9 per person!! You can add a VR experience for just $5 per person to either bowling deal!. They also have a playground promo of 1 free entry for each $10 spend in cafe.

There will be lots of fun FREE activities happening at the libraries these school holidays from 1st July to the 22nd of July. City of Darwin libraries are located at Karama, Casuarina, Nightcliff and Darwin City.
Activities include: First Aid Education Workshops, Moonhack, KROC Party, Tech Zone, Lego Club, Steam Zone Pop-Up, Children’s Programs, NAIDOC Week Story Time, Movies, Family Groove, Amazing Drumming Monkeys, Crazy Cut Out Creatures, KROC Scavenger Hunt (1-14 July) and Pop-Up Library for 30th Anniversary of the Fun Bus.

Shiner Town
Skater families! Shiner town have school holiday classes happening! Book in for a mini cruise and advance your skills to the great outdoors. Activate Kids – Palmerston
Activate Kids is a fun filled program open to Palmerston and rural residents. These July school holidays there will be three-weeks of free activities for children aged 0 – 15 years, available in Palmerston. The block will run from Monday 1 July until Friday 19 July 2019.
The activities range from swimming, martial arts, CrossFit, mediation and garden based activities. All activities are free however participants must register for the program with the City of Palmerston. Activate Kids – Darwin
Activate Darwin will be running a range of exciting activities in Smith Street Mall every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays during the holidays, including 3×3 basketball, dance and circus workshops, e-sport tournaments, building a boat out of milk cartons with the Lions Darwin and much more from 10 am to 2 pm.

The Playshack Palmerston
Why not head into the Playshack located in the Hub complex Palmerston (Shop 7, 3 Maluka Drive). Let the kids run and burn their energy and you can enjoy a coffee or drink and a slice of Petra’s Raw cakes available for purchase. The Playshack have extended during school holidays. Their hours will be 8.30 am till 4 pm Monday – Friday, plus the usual weekend times of Saturday 9 am till 5 pm and Sunday 10 am till 4 pm. Entry is only $8.90 per child during the week and bubs under 1 are free. Please remember your socks!

Darwin Ice Skating Centre – Ice Hockey Camp
Monday 8 July – Saturday 13 July, 2019
Accelerate your child’s ice hockey development by attending their 6-day intensive Ice Hockey Camp!
On and off-ice sessions will be high intensity training with attention to the details. Each day will consist of 1.5 hours on the ice, plus an off ice program that will keep players engaged and challenged. This will be a demanding, yet rewarding camp. Develop their skills, improve their fitness, and make new friends during the July school holidays. Drop off for the program will be 7.30 am till 10.30 am. Palmerston Youth Festival – for those with older kids – 13th to 20th July!
Palmerston Youth Festival will be presenting 9 major events over 8 days in July starting from the 13th with the Geekfest Top End as the grand opening show event and ending on the 20th with Palmy Street Party as the big Finale.
