The pressure of Christmas
The pressure of Christmas. We kind of do this to ourselves in many ways but I also think societies expectations and also social media can create this pressure. The pressure to do so much for Christmas. To make it a “perfect Christmas” for our kids. But do you know what…..I will let you in on a secret as I have been doing this Christmas with kids now for 8 years. It is not so much how much money you spend it is the thought and time spent with kids.
National Children’s Week 2019
Did you know National Children’s Week is right around the corner? During this week it is a time to celebrate our kids and showcase their talents and abilities. I’m always looking for ways to encourage my kids in their interests and abilities. It is a daily occurrence at the moment that I bring home multiple “creations” from school with my boys in transition. My big girl loves to paint and draw so I am looking forward to entering my kids in the City of Darwin’s Children’s week artwork Exhibition. There will also be heaps of family fun events happening to celebrate children’s week 2019.
National Children’s Week 2019 is an annual event celebrated in Australia held around the fourth Wednesday in October. A wide range of events and activities are organised throughout Australia and also at a local level throughout the Territory. National Children’s Week celebrates the right of children to enjoy childhood. It is also a time for children to demonstrate their talents, skills and abilities.
These school holidays it is the perfect opportunity to get crafty with your little ones and enter a masterpiece into the artwork exhibition.
