International Women's Day 2020

Join us for the International Women’s Day Walk on Saturday 7 March!

International Women’s Day is a time to reflect on progress, to call for change and to celebrate the courage and achievements of the women who changed history, and those who will advance gender equality into the future.

United Nations Association of Australia NT Division along with the City of Darwin, Northern Territory Government Office of Gender Equity and Diversity and Trafficwerx NT are proud to host the 2020 International Women’s Day Walk and Celebrations being held in Civic Park Darwin CBD.

Wear purple and bring your banners, hat and water bottle and come to join in the fun on Saturday 7 March 2020.

• 8.30am – Gather in the Civic Centre court yard (Harry Chan Avenue, Darwin CBD).
• 9.00am – The International Women’s Day Walk gets underway with a short walk through the Darwin City centre, including The Mall.
• 9.30am – At the conclusion of the walk, join in the International Women’s Day Celebrations in Civic Park. These celebrations will include information stalls and entertainment. We also have food and drink vans from the Malak Marketplace – Organic Farmers Market available for purchase.

The International Women’s Day Walk and Celebrations is a free community event. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Free bus travel on the Darwin bus network is available between 7.00am to 5.30pm on Saturday 7 March 2020. **Please ensure to download the International Women’s Day flyer attached to use as your free bus ticket.
