Due to COVID-19 skate events across the country have been cancelled until further notice, including the annual Street Heat even during NT Youth Week. This doesn’t stop skaters though. The Australian Skateboarding Community Initiative (ASCI) has been working with the team at liveheats to develop a professional online competition that allows us to stay home, win prizes, progress and have fun ⚑️

SCOOTER + BMX + QUADS + SKATEBOARDING
All disciplines and all skill levels are encouraged to enter clips before Sunday 31 May. Competing is free and prizes are awarded for the top videos in each division.

⚑️ Winners will receive vouchers from Skate Connection and local stores plus the top winner in each age division will be invited to compete in a National pool later this year.

DIVISIONS
U12 | U16 | Open

PLUS additional prizes awarded for: Maverick and Fresh Local winners

* MAVERICK ~ is to celebrate creativity. This is a space for people doing things a bit differently.
* FRESH LOCAL ~ is for people who are fresh on the scene. We’ll highlight efforts of emerging skaters. Everyone’s got to start somewhere.

The Australian Web Championships is a national web based competition where:
1. Competitors upload their 5 best FLAT GROUND tricks.
2. Anyone can view entries via a feed on the website.
3. Competitors nationwide will be judged by Professional Skateboarders: Tommy Fynn + Aimee Massie + Beau Hinge

NB skateboarders who win their regional division will also qualify for a national competition later this year

🌞 STREET HEAT RULES
1. Competitors must live in the Northern Territory. If there is a competition hosted in your locality then you will need to enter that competition as well.
2. You have the whole month of May to upload up to 5 of your best tricks. You can enter all tricks in one video or separate videos for different tricks. But you will only be judged for 5 tricks.
3. There is one winner per division.
4. Tricks are scored on difficulty and style (how hard they are and how clean landed).
5. Points awarded for creativity and doing something fun or different.
6. Do not skate on the road, or near moving vehicles. Use spaces that are safe and allowed under COVID-19 restrictions.
7. Follow physical distancing recommendations and COVID-19 restrictions.

Entries for close midnight May 31.
