WHEELS WARNING: Your wheels matter. At Marrara Stadium, the floor is a sports court that is very smooth and can be slippery. If your skates have plastic, old/dry/brittle, or worn out wheels, they will not get any traction and you are at a significantly increased risk of suddenly slipping and injuring yourself. This combination of wheels and smooth surface can be worse than ice. Darwin Skate School coaches reserve the right to terminate your lesson if you are on plastic wheels. We will work with parents of small children to upgrade wheels as they get rolling.

FAQ’s
CAN I HIRE SKATES?
At this time, you cannot hire any equipment. We have struggled in the past to offer hire skates and a number of issues such as time, staff, booking systems, skate condition, maintenance and Covid-19 mean we no longer are able to do this. We also are focusing on our core business of advancing the skill levels of skate owners and we must reserve class spots for them first.

CAN ANY LEVEL JOIN IN?
Please note that this is not a LEARN TO SKATE class and we may not have the capacity to physically assist individuals. low level is fine if you can get up and roll. Please let us know if you have never skated, if you are learning to skate, please wear a helmet at all times.

I’VE PAID, BUT I CANT COME NOW, CAN I USE MY TICKET NEXT WEEK OR GET A REFUND?
Not really. We respect that life happens occasionally and drop in is very convenient for those with tight schedules or unpredictable kids. If something unfortunate happens, please discuss it with us, we want to help. We are however aiming to keep our limited class spaces full and streamline the process. We have some sneaky room for shuffling, but please use that consideration respectfully.
