Event Details

Join Senior Curator of Molluscs, Dr Richard Willan to explore the changing nature of the Northern Territory.

The Australian Miocence epoch saw Bullockornis planei, the giant flightless goose and other megafauna, roaming the forests of the Top End 22 to 5 million years ago. So much has changed since then; the climate and the landscape, as well as the flora and fauna that inhabit it.
Explore fossils with Dr Richard Willan and discover the ongoing transformation of the wildlife, including connections through migration, new discoveries and habitats that are unique to the Top End.
