Light the Lagoon

Losing a child leaves an everlasting impact. In Darwin, Light the Lagoon offers a heartfelt space for families to honor the precious memories of their little ones.

Write messages of love and remembrance to display in the Reflection Tent or place them in the Memory Lantern. As dusk falls, bamboo boats carrying candles and messages are released onto the lagoon, symbolizing the enduring light of their spirits.

Join us for this beautiful tribute as we remember together.

This is a free community event for anyone impacted by the loss of a child.
Donations on the day are welcome.

Please note: Whilst this event is usually held around Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day due to construction works at the Waterfront, we have had to bring it forward by a few weeks.
