Beginner Skateboarding

🛹 Start your skating journey! This class is for Level 0-1 skateboarders of any age** or gender.

A class especially for the newest of skateboarders. If any of this sounds like you, then this is your chance to roll.

Bookings mandatory + spaces limited + you don’t have to sign up for every week, you can do as many as you want

**Under 5’s may need parent participation, please contact us if you have a very young child coming.

📍 FIND US
Location is at Jape Homemaker Center on Level 2 of the JHV4 multi story car park (at Fusion Cafe). You may park on level 2, drive with care.

⚠️ SAFETY
Please bring safety gear, shoes, plenty of water and a camp chair if you want a good seat.

⛑️ HELMETS AND PADS ARE COMPULSORY FOR U16’s

YOUR SKATEBOARD
We don’t supply equipment. You can bring any board however we recommend avoiding toy skateboards where possible.

LEVEL 0
-Never skated or just started
-Not yet stable (hanging on, grabbing or very wobbly/loosing your board)
-Fear, anxiety, low confidence
-Struggling to stand, push, stop or dismount safely,

LEVEL 1
-Can push and roll in a straight line with limited control on direction or uneven surfaces
In this class, you will learn
-Understanding of your skateboard and momentum,
-To assess risks and stay safe
-Develop your core stability and balance
-Foundation skate skills of the 5 S’s
-basic skating, control of direction and some footwork skills

Learning to skateboard will open up more skateboarding classes to you as you progress your skill level. Come to Super Beginners and work up to joining COASTAL CRUISE & RAMP SKATING
