SWELL (Swimming Wellness Events Leisure Lifestyle) Palmerston is one of the newest facilities in the Palmerston area with building finishing in November 2023.
SWELL has a variety of aquatic features including a 50m pool and 20m warm water pool and a splash zone for toddlers and babies to enjoy.
There is also gym facilities and a half basketball court.
The major attraction at SWELL, for adventure seekers, is the first ever aquatic high ropers course that is two stories!! There are numerous obstacles to navigate on the course and water cannons your family and kids can fire at each other. You wear a harness and are clipped into the course to navigate at your own pace. My kids and I have had an absolute ball enjoying this high ropes course, however I would not recommend to anyone with a fear of heights. Note - during wet season storms the high ropes course may be closed down due to safety.
Minimum height 122cm to participate on high ropes, weight restrictions apply and everyone needs to sign a waiver. You will need to download the "Active World App" to book your spot on the high ropes course. More info here
