Howard Springs Nature Park is a lovely place to visit with your family.  This is one of my fav spots to take my kids swimming, I have been taking my kids there since they were toddlers. Perfect for toddlers and young kids as the man made rock pools are shallow and only about knee height on an adult. There is shade structures over most of the pools. There is lots of nature to explore and also flying foxes, climbing ropes and slide for kids to enjoy! BBQs if you fancy to cook or take a picnic lunch in the shady areas for a great day out. Don’t forget your sunscreen and sometimes the bugs are bad so insect spray. There is also fish feeding nearby if you go for a little wander. Be aware of the ibises as they will try and steal any good left out! Only approximately 25 minutes drive from Darwin.
