If you are looking for a great day trip and place to enjoy with the family, Berry Springs is up there on the list!

The perfect place for a family outing, pack a picnic, enjoy a swim. Berry Springs is only about 40mins from Darwin! To get there head south from Darwin on the Stuart Highway out of town. Travel approximately 50kms and then turn right onto Cox Peninsula Road. You will see the signs for Berry Springs on the right.

I definitely recommend taking a noodle or two for the kids to swim in the open water section!

There are large shady grassy lawn areas, with tables, BBQ’s and a toilet block. We quite enjoy a BBQ or picnic and take a ball for the kids to kick around and enjoy the outdoors.

There are two main areas to swim. One of the popular areas is near the small waterfall, it has shallow areas with a few rocks for kids to sit on and warm pockets of water. You can swim up above the waterfall too but be cautious with kids and the current and over the falls.

The other main area to swim is the bigger open section. The water is very deep here and this is the section floaties or noodles are needed, you won't be able to touch the bottom even adults!

Berry Springs is open only during certain times of the year so always check the NT Government website https://nt.gov.au/parks/regions/darwin/check-park-open-darwin

Enjoy your family time!
