#WorldMathsDay the world’s largest online mathematics competition is back! 🚀

And guess what? The event is even bigger with better prizes this year in 2022 to celebrate 15 years of World Maths Day. 🎉

Here’s everything you need to know about this worldwide celebration of mathematics!

🎇 What is World Maths Day?
World Maths Day is an international celebration of mathematics. On this day, millions of students aged 5-18 around the world compete in Live Mathletics challenges to determine the global winner. Students can connect with the global learning community, practise their skills and of course have fun learning maths!

🎇 When is World Maths Day?
Wednesday, March 23rd 2022 is the date of this year’s World Maths Day. It will run for 48 hours to cover all global time zones.

Warm up period also starts on Wednesday March 9th 2022 for plenty of practise to boost students’ confidence before the real deal!

🎇 How can my child/student take part in World Maths Day?
If you already have access to a Mathletics subscription, your student or child will automatically be able to take part in World Maths Day on March 23 2022. Just log in on the day and let the games begin!

🎇 What are Live Mathletics challenges?
The Live Mathletics challenges are the highlight of every World Maths Day. Students log into Mathletics and compete against peers from around the world in 20 one-minute challenges.

The goal is simple: get as many questions correct as you can within one minute and be crowned the winning mathlete!

Winners then progress through to the global finals, which will take place two weeks after World Maths Day. They’ll go head-to-head with 3 peers from around the world in a live-streamed knockout tournament, with prizes for the champions. 🏆
